About Us
Who we are, how we got here, what we believe about search, and the things we will tell you that other agencies would rather not.
RankMont is an SEO agency based in Mohali, Punjab, India. The team has been delivering search work since 2014 — 12 years — and now runs 100 in-house specialists. We work exclusively with businesses in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia, and we sell SEO and nothing else. We publish our prices, disclose every link we build, and put named people on every account.
## How we got here
We started doing search work in 2014, at a point when SEO in India mostly meant directory submissions and article spinning. We built the business the other way round — technical depth first, content second, links last and carefully — largely because our earliest clients were American companies who would have noticed immediately if we had not.
12 years later that is still the shape of the business. Most of our clients are in the US. Most have been with us for years rather than months. The team is 100 people, all employed directly, none subcontracted.
## What we believe about this work
**Search rewards patience and punishes shortcuts, eventually.** Every shortcut in SEO works for a while. The ones that stop working take between six months and three years to stop, and by then someone has usually been paid and left. We build for the version of your site that still exists in three years.
**Transparency is a competitive advantage, not a risk.** Publishing prices, disclosing every link, showing the work live — these are things most agencies avoid because they remove room to manoeuvre. We think they are the fastest way to earn trust from a buyer who has been burned before, and most buyers in this market have been.
**Focus beats breadth.** We sell search and nothing else. Agencies that sell six disciplines staff each of them thinly, and search is usually the one that quietly gets the junior person.
**You should be able to leave.** No annual contracts, 30 days notice, and everything — briefs, audits, keyword maps, link lists — goes with you. An agency that needs a contract to retain clients has a delivery problem.
## What we will tell you that others might not
– When your budget cannot fund the outcome you want. We would rather lose the sale than take money for a programme that cannot work.
– When SEO is not your problem. Sometimes the traffic is fine and the site does not convert.
– When another kind of agency — or another country — suits you better. There are engagements we turn down monthly for exactly this reason.
– When something we tried did not work. It happens; hiding it wastes another quarter.

About the company
These are the questions that come up most often on first calls. If yours is not here, ask — we answer in writing within one working day.
How long have you been doing this?
Since [x k="founded"] — [x k="years"] years. The business was built serving American clients from the start, which shaped how we work more than anything else did.
How big is the team?
[x k="team"] people, all directly employed. We do not subcontract delivery, which matters because subcontracted work is where quality control usually breaks down in this industry.
Why should we trust an agency we have never heard of?
You should not, on the basis of a website. What you can do is check the things we publish: ask for a content brief and the article it produced, ask for a month of link disclosure from a real client, ask to speak to the person who would run your account, and ask for references in your industry. We supply all four. An agency that cannot is the one to worry about.
Do you work with competitors in the same market?
Not in the same niche and geography without telling both parties first. If a conflict arises, the existing client decides.
