Privacy Policy
What personal data this website collects, why, how long it is kept, and how to have it removed.
This is a working draft covering the standard case: a marketing website with a contact form and analytics. It is not legal advice. Have a solicitor review it against your actual data practices, your jurisdiction and the tools you end up running, and fill in the bracketed items.
## Who we are
RankMont SEO Services Pvt. Ltd., Industrial Area Phase 8, Mohali, Punjab 160071, India. For any question about this policy or your data, write to [email protected].
## What we collect
**When you submit the enquiry form** — your name, email address, website URL, target market, budget range and whatever you write in the message field. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the work. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated.
**When you browse the site** — standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamps) and, where you consent, analytics data via Google Analytics 4. Lawful basis: consent for analytics; legitimate interest in site security for server logs.
**When you email or call us** — the contents of that correspondence.
We do not collect special category data, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
## How long we keep it
– Enquiries that do not become clients: 24 months, then deleted.
– Client records: for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years, where retention is required for tax and accounting purposes.
– Server logs: 90 days.
– Analytics data: per the retention period configured in Google Analytics, currently [14 months].
## Who we share it with
Our email provider, our CRM, our analytics provider, and our accountants where an invoice is involved. A current list of sub-processors is available on request. We do not sell data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
## Where data is processed
In India, and in the countries where the third-party services listed above operate. For visitors in the UK and EU, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses and, for UK data, the international data transfer addendum.
## Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to your data protection authority — in the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
## Cookies
This site sets [a session cookie / analytics cookies where you consent]. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site works without them.
## Changes
We will update this page when our practices change, and the review date at the top will reflect it.
